Just because a computer comes with a COA, it is not legally usable nor does it entitle the buyer’s use. Most legitimate refurbished computers will have two (2) COA’s including the NEW COA bearing the name of the Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher as well as the old original COA.

A copy of a Windows CD, a non-original “restore” CD, or a CD that says ”for distribution with a new PC”, may not be legal or legitimate.

Many sellers advertise and make false claims that what they sell is legal and compliant when in reality it is NOT.
